Moate Lodge is a 250-year-old Georgian farmhouse in the Kildare countryside and is a place of peace and tranquillity near Athy. Owned and operated by Raymond and Mary Pelin. Traditional Irish hospitality combined with personal attention guarantees your comfort and safety.

Built by the Duke of Leinster, Moate Lodge dates back to 1776 and is situated at the end of a long private avenue which leads to the front of the house. All 4 charming en-suite bedrooms are designed with your comfort in mind and feature antique furnishings.

Sleep in the finest bed linen and wake up to the magnificent view of the rolling country side. Then choose your freshly prepared breakfast served in a sun filled dining room. Our extensive breakfast menu is served from 7.00 to 10.30 am and includes fresh fruits, yoghurts, cheese, homemade breads, cereals, porridge, organic eggs from the farm and the famed full Irish breakfast, with a personal touch added that makes each morning special.

Guests are welcome to wander around the farm. There is so much Raymond can tell you about the local history, American Civil War, World War 2 and Irish Rugby that you will have to come and experience his war Library for yourselves.
